Description

Journal of Banking, Finance & Sustainable Development

The first issue of the Journal of Banking, Finance and Sustainable Development is now available in print form. Published by College Press, Oxford, an imprint of the Association for Research on Banking and the Economy, Quantum Publishers are offering this resource to researchers for the first time in printed form, soft bound with glossy cover.

The first issue contains path-breaking articles by Professor David Hendry, Oxford, on the history of econometrics, Professor Emeritus Charles E. A. Goodhart, LSE, on central bank crisis policies, and many original contributions by researchers in economics, banking, finance and sustainable development. The journal features an important article by Professor Jozsef Moczar, Corvinus University, Budapest, on the question whether there really can be general equilibrium, incorporating the Kornai-critique of neoclassical economics, demonstrating that the foundations of mainstream economics are far shakier than is usually believed. In the section on “Unknown Classics”, the editor presents the path-breaking work on economics by famous Russian novelist and philosopher Leo Tolstoy, lifting the curtain on the ‘money system’. There is a special Festschrift section in honour the late economist Hans Christoph Binswanger, consisting of an obituary by Richard Werner, the premiere of Guido Preparata’s Mephisto fragment, and Richard Werner’s review of Hans Christoph Binswanger’s book Money and Magic (also available in the Quantum book shop).
